About Me

Kaylan Johnson is a recent Master's degree graduate who brings a unique blend of prowess and strategic thinking to creative storytelling and grant writing.

Throughout her academic career, she learned to embrace her passion for storytelling and focus on perfecting the technique of creating and weaving together narratives that captivate hearts and minds through short stories, novels, and scriptwriting.

During a transformative internship at Alloy Fundraising (formally known as Grantscribes LLC), she honed her skills in crafting compelling proposals that inspire action and drive positive change in the world.  She enthusiastically worked to build grant portfolios, create grant applications for local clients, and secure essential funding for clients primarily serving communities of color, women, and other marginalized populations.

Beyond the practices of creative storytelling and grant writing, Kaylan finds freedom and inspiration in the art of pottery, where each creation tells its own story through shape, glaze, and texture.

Whether in the local ceramic studio, a fiction-based writing workshop, or attending grantor webinars to create actionable plans for non-profit clients,  she is committed to leveraging her talents to make meaningful contributions to the world around her.
